Each Duo is completely unique and not replicable. It means that each variation of Duo is represented by a token ID and its associated metadata that generates an image or a video. One of the most significant challenges is to ensure integrity and fairness in the process of generating this metadata.

To avoid pre-reveal manipulation or insider trading, we used a record provenance system. It acts as a sort of "guarantee seal" and ensures that even developers in charge of the drop were not be able to know the rarity of each token ID before the mint. The concept is pretty simple, and it's been used by many well-known projects before (such as BAYC, etc).

The purpose of a provenance hash is to show that the assets that exist on-chain are the same assets as the ones that were initially generated. It makes it very easy to spot if any of the tokens were manipulated beforehand: recalculating the hash would result in a value different from the provenance hash. After the mint, the smart contract randomly generated a starting index. This starting index shifted the first token ID of the collection. In this way, it was impossible to predict the rarity of any given token ID.

You can check the provenance by re-hashing the image of your Duo to verify that the minting process was indeed completely fair and transparent.
